Time moves differently when you are far from home. For international students, the past is not simply a memory - it is a place we return to, full of longing and second-guessing. The present is a question we keep asking ourselves: am I doing enough, am I enough? And the future looms as something we cannot quite hold.
We were, We are, We will be uses the clock as a lens to map this emotional terrain. We move backward into nostalgia, forward into uncertainty, and always circling back to now. This exhibition brings together international students past and present to share what it means to carry multiple timelines within a single life.

But we also invite the viewer to pause and look back at the viewer’s own moments. To leave something behind - a record of where the viewers are right now - so that one day, they can return to it too.
